Remote Interoperability Testing (UPF) Mesh (Remote)

This is UPF-style remote testing, open to all members but targeted at select specifications that have recently been adopted.

The purpose of the testing is to help improve interoperability, but also to continue validating the specification requirements. As such, there will be a strong focus on reporting any issues discovered in the issue/errata tool.

The following specifications are available for registration:

Mesh:

  • Mesh Certificate-Based Provisioning
  • Mesh Configuration Database
  • Mesh Directed Forwarding
  • Mesh Enhanced Provisioning Authentication
  • Mesh Remote Provisioning
  • Mesh Private Beacons
  • Mesh Binary Large Object Transfer
  • Mesh Device Firmware Update
  • Mesh Profile Enhancements

Testing Methods:

  • Co-Located Hardware
  • P2P over IP (meshremoteioptool)

The principal method used is co-located hardware which involves shipping your hardware to the SIG to be connected for testing. To learn more about the testing methods, process, and requirements for participation, view our participation guide here.

This will be open with no specific end date to allow members to continue to test with each other whenever it is most convenient. You can register for testing at any time.

Once you have completed registration for the event SIG staff will reach out to provide more information.

If you are currently taking part in a remote IOP event you can continue to use your same setup, however, you will need to register separately for Remote Open Testing.
