Bluetooth SIG launches China Interest Group  

Over 30 member companies join inaugural meeting in Shanghai 

Shanghai, China – October 24, 2025 — The Bluetooth Special Interest Group (Bluetooth SIG), the not-for-profit membership organization responsible for overseeing Bluetooth® technology, has launched a China Interest Group. Open to all Promoter and Associate member companies, this new group serves as a platform for collaboration, education, and market development, ensuring that the unique needs and opportunities of the Chinese market are effectively represented and addressed within the global Bluetooth SIG ecosystem. 

The China Interest Group will serve as a collaborative platform for members to: 

  • promote the widespread adoption of Bluetooth technology across industries in China; 
  • educate the local member and developer community on the latest Bluetooth advancements; 
  • consolidate and communicate local market requirements to guide the evolution of Bluetooth technology; and 
  • foster a vibrant community of Bluetooth innovators, developers, and manufacturers in China.

The inaugural China Interest Group meeting brought members together to align on strategic priorities and collaboration aimed at driving Bluetooth® innovation in China. Participants discussed key market insights and actionable plans to strengthen China’s role in the global Bluetooth ecosystem. The first meeting attracted representatives from leading companies, including Actions, Barrot, Goodix, Honor, Huawei, Infineon, Lenovo, Nordic, OPPO, Qualcomm, Silicon Labs, Telink, UNISOC, Xiaomi and etc.
