Realcomm | IBcon 2018 provided networking and collaboration opportunities, while educating industry professionals about the latest business solutions and technologies to improve commercial real estate development, leasing, management and operations.  

The Bluetooth SIG was a silver level sponsor at this year’s event and sponsored the Smart Building Integrator Summit (SBIS) pre-conference workshop on 5 June.  The Smart Building Integrator Summit (SBIS) addressed all the issues impacting today’s smart building integrator, including 1) defining the next generation Master Systems Integrator; 2) interfacing with IT departments; 3) the impact of the IoT; 4) providing integrated, interoperable solutions; 5) the technical skills gap; 6) aligning with business objectives, and more.  

In addition, Dave Hollander, Bluetooth SIG Director, Marketing, participated in a 45-minute panel discussing lighting on 6 June.  He spoke about how commercial innovations, powered by Bluetooth mesh, can be used as a platform for smart building solutions.
