Advanced RF front-end IC and antenna technologies for Bluetooth® LE based Ultra Low-Power wireless connectivity for AIoT
Bluetooth is moving beyond traditional consumer-centric, short-range PAN (Personal Area Network) and penetrating rapidly into new areas including commercial, industrial, healthcare and medical. These wireless devices will require long range or reliable connection in challenging RF environments, while at the same time consume very low power to extend battery life.
At BHW Technologies, we have pioneered a novel approach, the Active integrated Antenna (AiA) architecture, to optimize the power efficiency of RF front-ends by integrating PA, LNA, Switch and Antennas holistically. This approach has enabled customers to achieve several record-breaking RF performance milestones such as -101dBm net receive sensitivity for LE 1M PHY at antenna with FCC compliance, and over 1km long-range Bluetooth LE beacons using small CR2032 coin-cell battery.
This talk is applicable to RF design engineers or developers of Bluetooth or other wireless IoT/AIoT devices who are interested in improving both RF performance and lowering power consumption for their designs.
