As a Technical Writer II on the Specification Management team, you will collaborate closely with representatives from member organizations across the global technology industry to write, edit, and release the specifications and other content deliverables that define the next generation of Bluetooth wireless technology. With an emphasis on upstream engagement in the technology development process, you will apply technical communication best practices to delivery of Bluetooth specs. Your role will include direct engagement with subject matter experts to define the ideal content strategy and information architecture for a given Bluetooth feature area, including writing informative or conceptual content that developers will use to create their Bluetooth-enabled products.

Responsibilities

  • Write and release content in support of new Bluetooth wireless technology features.
  • Edit and standardize content drafted by both fellow technical writers and SME contributors.
  • Contribute to the planning and scheduling of content deliverables.
  • Collaborate with Bluetooth SIG Product Management, UX, and Engineering teams to produce user assistance for software tools and systems that support the specification development process.
  • Aid in the production of technical diagrams and graphics.
  • Contribute to the standardization of Bluetooth specifications and other Bluetooth SIG content via the Technical Publications Style Guide.
  • Support the Bluetooth SIG content strategy and follow information architecture best practices.
  • Contribute to improvements in Bluetooth SIG processes for specification development.
