2. Set up your account

Invite your team members to create an account

Invite your team members to create their own user accounts by filling out the user account application with their valid company email address. Every user at your company should create their own account to receive updates and access our tools. Credentials cannot be shared between users, even at the same company.

Understanding the primary contact role

The primary contact is the key link between your organization and the Bluetooth SIG and is responsible for managing your company’s membership. To view the primary contact for your company, visit your account portal. If your primary contact is no longer active, you can claim the role in your account portal. 5. Get involved

The Bluetooth SIG supports multiple events worldwide that offer our members opportunities to learn about the technology, network with one another, test products for interoperability, and collaborate with other thought leaders and decision-makers.

Join us for UnPlugFest (UPF) and Interoperable Prototype (IOP) testing events, which provide confidential spaces for collaboration with developers and engineers, allowing for real-time testing of fixes and enhancements to interoperability.

Bluetooth Member Summits are held multiple times a year to bring together different Bluetooth SIG groups to work independently or together as needed.

Media events offer education about Bluetooth technology and a showcase of the latest consumer products from member companies to a room full of press and analysts.

Join a group

Access to Working Groups depends on your membership level.

Working Groups shape the future of Bluetooth technology through members participating in various groups dedicated to developing and refining specifications.

All products must be qualified

The Bluetooth Qualification Process promotes global product interoperability and reinforces the strength of the Bluetooth® brand and ecosystem to the benefit of all Bluetooth SIG members. The Bluetooth Qualification Process helps member companies ensure their products that incorporate Bluetooth technology comply with the Bluetooth Patent & Copyright License Agreement and the Bluetooth Trademark License Agreement (collectively, the Bluetooth License Agreement) and Bluetooth Specifications.

  • Your supplier or other member companies cannot qualify your products on your behalf; you must complete the Bluetooth Qualification Process for your product yourself or with the assistance of a Bluetooth Qualification Consultant.
  • You can only qualify your products under your member company’s account and only by completing the Bluetooth Qualification Process.
  • You will be charged a Product Qualification Fee for the first product submission that includes a specific design. Subsequent products you submit that include the same design will not be charged a fee. Please see our Schedule of Dues and Fees for more information.

Associate and Contributing Adopter members receive discounted pricing to qualify their products. View our membership benefits comparison details here.
