Bluetooth Asia 2026 officially concluded in Shenzhen, leaving a powerful impression on the global wireless landscape. This year’s event was more than a show and conference; it was a testament to how the Bluetooth community is actively shaping the future of global connectivity.
The power of participation in numbers:

- 4,200+ Attendees from across the globe
- 60+ Innovative exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge IoT solutions
- 50+ Visionary speakers defining the next era of standards
A hub for global innovation
Under the theme Set the standard. Change the world, the event highlighted the vibrant ecosystem in the APAC region. During his keynote, Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) CEO Neville Meijers emphasized that our global community of 43,000+ member companies is the driving force behind every connection made today.
The exhibition floor was buzzing with energy, featuring industry giants like Nordic, OPPO, Qualcomm, Silicon Labs, STMicroelectronics, Telink, Texas Instruments, vivo, and Xiaomi. From AI integration to Industrial IoT, the message was clear: the future is connected, and it’s happening here.
Driving global innovation
The vibrancy of the Shenzhen event reflects a larger trend that the Asia-Pacific region is now an important market for Bluetooth® innovation. Today, APAC is home to more than 15,000 member companies, with its members driving more than 56 percent of all global product qualifications.
Within this landscape, China continues to lead the charge. Marking the first anniversary of the Bluetooth SIG’s China entity, this event showcased a strategic shift, through the Bluetooth China Interest Group (CIG), regional stakeholders are now playing an increasingly active role in contributing to the global conversation. Lori Lee, senior director of APAC and China, noted how the Bluetooth CIG has successfully integrated unique innovations from the Chinese market and provided inputs into the global technology roadmap. This successful model is now being planned to extend to Japan, further transforming regional impact into global connectivity.
The automotive and audio ecosystem zones, presented by Bluetooth CIG, were the stars of the show, where real-world demonstrations of digital key and Auracast™ broadcast audio proved that these are ready-to-deploy solutions redefining user experiences today.
Empowering the builders

Innovation happens at the developer level. This year, we introduced the Bluetooth Innovator Stage, a dedicated space where engineers and developers tackled the nitty-gritty of product development and qualification.
Simultaneously, the Shenzhen UPF (UnPlugFest) saw 62 developers from 23 companies rigorously testing interoperability across 62 platforms. This behind-the-scenes collaboration is what ensures that when a consumer buys a Bluetooth® device, it just works.
Defining what’s next
Bluetooth Asia 2026 proved that the standard is only as strong as the community behind it. As we look back at the success in Shenzhen, we are reminded that our collective effort is what defines the standard that shapes the world.
