Daemyung Hearing Center, led by audiologist and center director Jin Tae Lee, is a trusted provider of comprehensive hearing solutions in South Korea. The center focuses on improving the hearing experience for individuals with hearing loss by offering advanced hearing aids and professional audiology services. Their core mission is to enhance the quality of life for those affected by hearing difficulties, leveraging modern technologies to ensure inclusive, accessible, and user-friendly auditory experiences. The clinic’s clientele ranges from individuals experiencing mild to severe hearing loss to those seeking the latest in assistive listening technology.
The problem statement
Before implementing Auracast™ broadcast audio, Daemyung Hearing Center faced a recurring challenge: patients waiting for consultation or fitting sessions could only watch muted informational videos. The videos’ — designed to educate viewers on hearing aid options, hearing health, and manufacturers — lack of audio rendered them ineffective and frustrating.
The center experimented with a remote microphone system to address this, but compatibility issues limited its success. “It was clear that we needed a more inclusive and efficient audio broadcasting method to engage and inform patients during their wait time,” said Lee.

The Auracast™ solution
Deployment
The solution came in the form of a new Bluetooth® capability: Auracast™ broadcast audio, which was introduced to the center through GN Hearing’s rollout of Bluetooth LE Audio-compatible hearing aids. After testing the functionality using GN Hearing’s TV Streamer+, Jin tae Lee recognized the transformative potential of Auracast™.
The center began its deployment with the TV Streamer+, which requires minimal setup and operates independently. The audio is transmitted directly to the Auracast™ receiver, bypassing the assistant app that usually controls the stream. This streamlined approach simplified the deployment process and ensured compatibility across multiple hearing aid brands.

Benefits
Since implementing the Auracast™ solution, Daemyung Hearing Center has seen significant improvements in customer engagement and satisfaction. Patients can now listen to educational content directly through their hearing aids, making better use of their time and gaining a clearer understanding of the services and products offered.
“The audio quality is superior to older systems like T-coils or FM transmitters, with lower latency and enhanced clarity,” said Lee. “Additionally, our clients appreciate the ease of use and personalization features offered through apps like Smart 3D and HearMax. Some even noted that Auracast™ could aid auditory training, helping users improve their listening skills while waiting.”
A look ahead
Looking forward, Daemyung Hearing Center plans to expand its Auracast™ setup and overlay it with existing systems to further enhance accessibility. With the global growth of Bluetooth LE Audio-enabled devices, Auracast™ broadcast audio is poised to become a standard in assistive listening technology. Lee has since advocated for its adoption in more public and private venues, believing that such an expansion can foster a truly barrier-free audio experience for those with hearing loss.
Although Google Maps does not yet support Auracast™ location listings in South Korea, the center is ready to register once the feature becomes available, demonstrating a strong commitment to staying at the forefront of hearing care innovation.
