YUAN8 Billiards Club is a comprehensive billiards entertainment venue with multiple branches across the city that cover American pool, English snooker, billiard equipment sales and servicing, electronic darts, lounge bar services, and professional instruction. The club actively organizes and hosts professional billiards tournaments, with its Putuo Changfeng branch serving as one of the primary venues for these events.
The problem statement
To enhance patrons’ playing experience, the venue features multiple strategically installed televisions that allow guests to enjoy various sports events or entertainment programs during breaks. However, due to the proximity of these TVs and the legacy wired broadcast and public addess system, acoustic interference occurs when they are simultaneously operational, creating a cacophonous environment that inadvertently affects gameplay concentration. As a result, several units of televisions remain perpetually muted or powered off.
The management team has been actively exploring technological solutions to optimize audio delivery systems while maintaining ambient tranquility, aiming to harmonize the needs of lounging spectators with those requiring focused playing conditions, thereby enhancing the overall customer experience through innovative acoustic zoning strategies.
The Auracast™ solution
Deployment
The billiard hall utilizes Xiaomi S Pro Mini LED 2025 TVs throughout its premises, which prompted management to seek technical assistance from Xiaomi Group. Bluetooth engineer Wang Fukai from Xiaomi stated, “Auracast™ broadcast audio is a user-friendly audio streaming technology with unlimited concurrent receivers, superior sound quality, and zero acoustic interference, and it is precisely what public venues like YUAN8 Billiards Club urgently require.”
Through on-site technical verification, Wang confirmed that all deployed TVs possessed native hardware compatibility with Auracast™ functionality, requiring only basic software configuration to activate. Following an afternoon of system integration and acceptance testing, every television unit in the venue has been successfully enabled for Auracast™ broadcast audio transmission.

Auracast™ broadcasts enable effective utilization of multiple TVs in YUAN8 billiard halls through simultaneous silent operation, which maintains a tranquil environment while delivering optimal audio experiences for users who intentionally scan and sync with corresponding TV streams. In the future, consumers carrying smartphones or headphones supporting Auracast™ functionality will be able to conveniently access and listen to TV programs within the venue, allowing each individual to enjoy high-quality audio playback without disturbing others.
“The Xiaomi smart TVs with Auracast™ broadcast audio were easy to install and use,” said Alex Liu, chief operator at the YUAN8 Billiards Club.
A look ahead
Auracast™ broadcast audio can be seamlessly deployed in multi-TV public venues with simultaneous silent operation (e.g., billiard halls, coffee shops, museums, bars, airports, hospital waiting rooms, conference rooms, etc.), offering users innovative audio sharing experiences without acoustic interference.
