This system enables wireless audio transmission directly to compatible hearing aids, cochlear implants, and other receiving devices, while also supporting external receivers for users whose smartphones do not yet offer native Auracast™ compatibility.
Auracast™ broadcast audio was selected for its manufacturer-independent, standards-based approach, allowing multiple device types to connect more easily. The company integrated the solution into its Würzburg demonstration center, creating a practical environment where customers can experience real-time audio streaming in realistic scenarios.
Rather than fully replacing existing systems, the organization used a hybrid approach, combining Auracast™ solutions with other streaming technologies to ensure broad compatibility while exploring the technology’s long-term potential.
