The IoT Connect Show took place in London on March 13th and 14th 2018 with just under 5,000 in attendance.  IoT Connect featured two days of high level content and discussion, including access to eight conference tracks, where attendees learned about solution based case studies and examples from industry leaders, experienced an exhibition hall with the the latest technologies, live demos, dedicated networking opportunities, startup innovators and much more.

Martin Woolley, Bluetooth SIG Technical Program Manager – EMEA, spoke at the event in a session titled, “Putting the Smart in Smart Buildings with Bluetooth Mesh.”

Martin also participated in a panel discussion at the show titled, “The Evolution of the Smart City”.  Part moonshot, part practical: where is the Smart City really going? From revolving sidewalks, to drone package-drops, to flying cars – maybe. During his panel discussion he spoke about mesh and smart buildings, beacons for location and proximity services and Bluetooth equipped smartphones as mobile computers in the pocket of citizens, connecting them to sensors of various sorts.
