IoT Innovations & Technologies Stage Chuck Sabin, Senior Director, Business Strategy and Planning at Bluetooth SIG hosted a unique series of fireside chats which tapped industry influencers from Intel, Cassia Networks, Aruba, National Instruments, and ABI Research they explored the impact a newly expanded range of fit-for-purpose network topologies from Bluetooth will have across multiple sectors, including Smart Industry, Smart Buildings, Smart Cities, and Smart Homes. Jim Katsandres, Bluetooth SIG Director, Developer Programs and fellow panelists discussed what opportunities the IoT presents for developers, the implementation of open source and open standards, the importance of allowing interoperability of devices in the world of IoT, and more. Bluetooth Exhibit Over 9,000 attendees saw how leading vendors like Cassia Networks, Murata Manufacturing, Silicon Labs, Silvair, and STMicroelectronics are leveraging Bluetooth technology to power their IoT solutions and services. From tracking patients and expensive equipment in hospitals, to connecting machines for improved predictive maintenance on factory floors, to intelligently controlling lighting, temperature, and air conditioning and monitoring occupancy and security in businesses, attendees saw how Bluetooth is being used to increase productivity, lower costs, and improve conditions in smart factories, buildings, and cities around the world.
