10 million Bluetooth devices ship every day, and that figure is rising. Regarded as one of the key, enabling technologies of the IoT, Bluetooth is everywhere.

Bluetooth is often associated with consumer electronics devices but thanks to dramatic increases in range, the success of Bluetooth beacons and the release of Bluetooth mesh networking, Bluetooth is rapidly being adopted for enterprise systems too. And the vast majority of IoT systems are enterprise systems.

In enterprise computing, web technologies and cloud-based architectures are king. Cross-platform solutions, scalable and cost effective solutions are essential and the web browser is the applications platform .

Web Bluetooth allows developers to create web applications which can monitor and control Bluetooth devices. In this session, we’ll review key Bluetooth concepts and capabilities and the fundamentals of the browser technology called Web Bluetooth which lets you exploit them.
