Member Summit + UPF Testing: Kyoto 2027

Registration for this event will open in January 2027.

The interoperability of Bluetooth® products on the market is critical to the success of the technology, so we work hard to make sure everything just works for consumers. At Bluetooth Member Summit + UPF Testing events, members of Bluetooth SIG groups are invited to meet face to face and to continue to develop and improve upon Bluetooth specifications. In addition, Bluetooth SIG members are invited to test Bluetooth enabled products against other unreleased and unannounced products and prototypes coming soon through UnPlugFest (UPF) testing to help ensure interoperability once the products hit the market.

  • UPF testing dates: Tuesday, 2 March – Friday, 5 March 2027
  • IOP testing dates: Tuesday, 2 March – Saturday, 6 March 2027
  • Working group meeting dates: Tuesday, 2 March – Sunday, 7 March 2027

If you need an invitation letter for visa purposes prior to registering for the event, please reach out to events@bluetooth.com.

Participation in each group meeting is only open to those members who have formally joined the group. If your group is interested in meeting at this event, please contact us to secure meeting space. Contact the group chair for specific group meeting agendas.

Participation in the UnPlugFest testing event is open to all levels of Bluetooth SIG membership. You will be able to connect, test, and debug your devices with up to 30 different platforms across many different industries from well-known companies to start-ups. The UPF testing event allows you to meet face-to-face in a confidential environment with developers, testers, and engineers while exposing and investigating bugs while testing fixes in real time to ensure interoperability.

The Kyoto UPF will be held Tuesday, 2 March – Friday, 5 March 2027. All adopted specifications are available for testing.

UPF Participants will be matched with others developing complementary products for user-defined testing.
