This year, Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) was set under the background of ” A new era, a new lifestyle and new lighting – this concept injects new vitality to the industry.”. It embraced a renewed energy, took a moment to consider lighting and provided new value for illumination. GILE 2019 strived to work together with the lighting industry to produce better lighting and consequently a better life for its users. Bluetooth SIG held a two-hour session in the forum of “Leap Forward – New Applications in Smart Lighting” on 10 June. The session took place in China Import and Export Fair Complex.

Lori Lee, Bluetooth SIG Senior Regional Marketing Manager, APAC, opened and hosted the event, followed by Kai Ren, Bluetooth SIG Developer Relations Manager, APAC, who delivered a presentation about how Bluetooth development can bring advantages to the smart lighting industry. After Kai’s speech, four member companies including Silicon Labs, TRLink, JinXun and Alibaba who are experts to create lighting applications with Bluetooth mesh, joined the session and introduced their Bluetooth lighting solutions and use cases.
