Upcoming Bluetooth Enhancements to Improve the Lives of People with Hearing Loss
Presenter: Ken Kolderup, VP Marketing, Bluetooth SIG
Date and Time: 9 October, 14:00-16:00 CEST
Description: Several years ago, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) and hearing aid industry began a collaboration to enhance Bluetooth technology to better meet the needs of people with hearing loss. The results of that effort will soon be completed and promise to significantly improve the availability, performance, and interoperability of Bluetooth enabled hearing aids. In addition, the upcoming enhancements will enable deployment of a true next generation assistive listening system (ALS) capable of providing a significantly better user experience than existing inductive loop systems.
About the Conference:
The 65th International Congress of Hearing Aid Acousticians of the EUHA will once again be held in Hannover, Germany. The world’s largest event within the hearing aid business is based on the established concept of a program of academic lectures combined with the important trade exhibition of the hearing aid industry. The event also includes a full day, Future Friday, to forward-looking topics focusing on hearing aid technology.
The Bluetooth SIG will have a digital booth at the show – come visit us in hall 3.
