Digital EUHA Congress 2020

Upcoming Bluetooth Enhancements to Improve the Lives of People with Hearing Loss

Presenter: Ken Kolderup, VP Marketing, Bluetooth SIG

Date and Time: 9 October, 14:00-16:00 CEST

Description: Several years ago, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) and hearing aid industry began a collaboration to enhance Bluetooth technology to better meet the needs of people with hearing loss.  The results of that effort will soon be completed and promise to significantly improve the availability, performance, and interoperability of Bluetooth enabled hearing aids.   In addition, the upcoming enhancements will enable deployment of a true next generation assistive listening system (ALS) capable of providing a significantly better user experience than existing inductive loop systems.
