On November 14th, the one billionth Bluetooth device was shipped - ready to make its impact on the world, helping people live simpler, more convenient lives while having a bit more fun. From hands-free in the automobile to streaming audio headphones, there have never been more ways to experience Bluetooth technology.
To put this number in perspective, one billion is greater than the number of PC users in the world and equal to the number of mobile phones shipped this year. One billion seconds ago, it was 1974, and one billion hours ago, our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

Reaching the one billion mark is not only a milestone, it's a reminder of where our trade organization began and an inspiration for pursuing what's next.
