Open Interface and Leadtek Announce New Serial-Port Bluetooth Module for Industrial and Medical Hardware
New Wireless UART cable-replacement solution
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - January 7, 2006 - Open Interface of North America and Leadtek Research today announced the availability of the LR9923 Serial Port Bluetooth module (SPM). This module features new serial-port application software from Open Interface to the proven 9923-hardware platform from Leadtek.
Serial Port modules replace serial-port data communication cables which often break in applications requiring motion of the cable. Replacing the physical cable substantially improves reliability and reduces system downtime. The new SPM module adds to the existing portfolio of Leadtek modules with Open Interface software.
